  • О нас: Cho Jeong-hyeong (Gocheon), an important intangible cultural heritage of Chonbuk province-Korea, has devoted his whole life to keep and develop Korean traditional spirits handed down from ancestors for a long time. He was designated as an intangible cultural heritage for LEEGANGJU in 1988 and a Master 1996 from Korean government. A publisher Woongjin issued a book titled "A secret liquor handed down in the family" and after KBS produced a television serial drama with the story of the book in 1995.

    After all he founded a business obtaining a license of LEEGANGJU handed down from his sixth generation ancestors as a family secret. Cho Jeong-hyeong has developed a special new LEEGANGJU adding his major study zymurgy knowledge to the family brewing secret handed down for the six generations. LEEGANGJU, a distilled liquor made by traditional process and flavored with pear, ginger, curcuma, cinnamon and wild honey, was designated as the one of the 3 most valuable Korean liquors with HOSANCHUN and JUKRYEOKGO by the famous Korean writer Choi Nam-seon (1890~ 1957) in his book (About Choseon), and we can find the word LEEGANGJU from the traditional Korean Bongsan masked dance yet.

    LEEGANGJU was served as a main drinks in Korean-American Commercial Treaty in latest Choseon dynasty (King Gojong) and in the South-North Red Cross dinner meeting. Moreover, we won a Tin Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit and a Presidential Award. Being selected one of the Year's Best 5 Products, LEEGANGJU was provided to Cheongwadae (Korean Executive Presidential Mansion) as one of the official gifts of the President in 2005 and 2007.
