It is, however, regretful to say that we were still left far behind to produce state of the art medical instruments including artificial joints by ourselves. Some reasons that we are still a way behind them can be the obstacles in reality that we face such as lack of technology, limited budget and more than that, Technically marketing problem that we couldn't get it over. By letting our difficult subjects behind, with a persistent will of developing asian oriented artificial joints first in Korea and by implanting technical power of Samsung Techwin engineers who hold world class engineering skills into the clinical experiences of medical professors from over 40 university medical centers and Corentec's support. We have been made every effort for the past 3 years. The result was very successful as we realized commercializing artificial Joints first in Korea and upon the approval of Korea Food & Drug Administration, we initiated clinical test from August, 2003. By the time we complete this test, we are planning to put our product in the market starting second half of 2004. According to test results obtained so far, artificial joints developed by correntec and produced by Samsung Techwin for the first time in Korea, showed superior durability and quality than any others in its types distributed in Korea. When we were standing in front of the clean room where the artificial joints were being packed. We, entire staff could not express ourselves for our accomplishment. Rather than becoming the best in Korea, we would like to become the world best company beyond the world medical instrument standard. We know it will be a tough challenge but we belive it will not be that so long if we do our the very best.
