Techmate is now recognized by military agencies and defense manufacturers in Korea as a very reliable supplier of various military communication equipment, cable test systems, board test systems, automatic test equipment and IETM(Interactive Electronic Technical Manual) solutions. Accordingly, they strongly prefer locally developed weapon systems to foreign products. In order to penetrate into Korean military market more aggressively, Thomson CSF recently established a joint venture corporation with Samsung Electronics. In this environment, the best marketing policy foreign defense manufacturers can choose for Korean market is to select the best domestic partner for joint development or for license production.
