With experienced engineers, extensive casting facilities and testing equipment, HiMet has been the leading foundry in Korea for high grade quality castings like pumps, impellers, valves and mechanical parts for nuclear power plant, chemical plant, shipbuilding and other industries that require highest quality standards. HIMET CORPORATION's major customers included ; - Ebara Corp. - Keystone Valve (Korea) Ltd. - Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. - Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. - Kubota Corp. - Hitachi In addition to ISO 9002 certificate, HIMET CORPORATION has been approved by some of major classification societies such as Lloyds Register of Shipping, Det Norske Veritas, RINA, KR. Research and development projects with universities and governmental organizations are being performed for better quality and cost. To express the company's business specialty more properly, the name was changed to HIMET CORPORATION in April 2002. The new name HIMET CORPORATION implies the meaning of High Alloy Metal or High Quality Metal which is the company's object - to produce world's highest quality alloy metal castings.
