  • Profilo: Dongjin started as a motor-controller manufacturer in 1987. Its products quickly gained popularity in the U.S. and Japan for their unique features such as electronically-controlled, energy-saving, motor-protecting characteristics. In 1989, Dongjin started to market these controllers in the Pacific rim countries under the name Motormate. In May 1993, Dongjin established a subsidiary, the Dongjin Motormate Co., Ltd. to specialize in manufacturing motor controllers. 'Motormate II' was selected as an excellent product for its high technology, by the Ministry of Trade and Commerce of Korea and Motormate II was successfully developed as a part of government-initiated project. Awards and Certifications - Apr.29, 1997: Accredited as Korean new technology by ministry   of science and technology.('KT MARK') - Nov. 4, 1997: U.S.A Patent was registered.(PAT.No.5,684.377) - Jun.13, 1998: Certified by KOREAN ELECTRIC POWER CO.,LTD. as qualified firm for maintenance of HYDRO-THERMAL GENERATION FACILITIES. - Jun.17, 1998: Certified for 'Exellent Quality Machinery'(EM MARK) by office of national technology and quality. - Jul. 1, 1998: Korean patent was registered(PAT.No.153103) - Sep. 2, 1998: Awarded 'IR52 JANGYONGSIL PRIZE' for energy saving category. (Ministry of science and technology) - Sep. 4, 1998: Awarded 'KYUNGHYANG ELECTRICITY ENERGY GRANDPRIX' for energy saving.(Ministry of industry and resources) - Apr. 9, 1999: "MOTORMATE II" obtained certificate for exellent quality product by the supply administration of Korea. - Oct. 9, 1999: Obtained certificate of ISO9002. - Apr. 7, 2000: Japanese patent was registered(PAT.No.3053572) - Nov. 4, 2001: Awarded 'ENERGY WINNER AWARD 2002:GREEN APPLIANCE' by Citizens' Alliance for Consumer protection of KOREA(CACPK), supported by UNITED NATIONS ECONOMIC.
