In 1998, Eugene Science succeeded in liquefying plant sterol for the first time in the world. This became our main business item CZ, which is a natural substance extracted from plants and effectively blocks cholesterol taken into the body through diet-lowering cholesterol level in plasma. CholZero, as a new concept functional beverage which contains CZ, is currently being marketed in Korea product lines into cooking oils, salad dressings, margarine, mayonnaise and butter. Recently, we have closed a deal with Japans Hokuyo Koeki, the trading company of the Pio Group. With this alliance, the Japanese companies made an order for US$5.3 million this year and oddered to make an additional investment of US$3 million won in the company. As the only company in the world to process water-soluble plant sterol, wave got an extensive opportunities to advance into the global market as a result of this alliance.
