Research and development projects with universities and governmental organizations are being performed for better quality and cost. To express the company's business specialty more properly, the name was changed to HIMET CORPORATION in April 2002. The new name HIMET CORPORATION implies the meaning of High Alloy Metal or High Quality Metal which is the company's object - to produce world's highest quality alloy metal castings.
